Joy of Liberation

A one-day retreat with the Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi

Saturday, March 17, 2018

Goleta, California

This retreat is based on Je Tsongkhapa’s Three Principal Aspects of the Path. This essential Kadampa Buddhist scripture is a condensation of lamrim and a profound guide to meditation on the stages of the path to enlightenment.  Following this guide with steady effort, one can develop a peaceful and clear mind.

Tsong Khapa suggests that it is on the basis of these three aspects: the wish for true freedom, the generation of altruistic intention, and the wisdom that understands how things really exist, that one must embark on this profound spiritual path.

Bodhimarga one-day retreats generally consist of teachings, prayers, meditation, tea/lunch breaks and time for Q & A. Chairs (and a few cushions for floor seating) are available, but feel free to bring your own cushions, too.  Community lunch will be provided.

The venue for our retreat is the EMID building, 224 Vereda Leyenda, Goleta, CA 93117.  Doors open for registration at 9:00am on Saturday, March 17, with prayers and teaching beginning at 10:00am.  We hope you will join us!

Dharma is priceless! No one is turned away from a teaching due to financial hardship. Please email the retreat coordinator at retreats@bodhimarga.org by March 12, 2018 to inquire about scholarships.

Suggested Donation:  $75

Online advance registration is now closed while we prepare for the retreat.  Registration at the venue is available (subject to capacity) beginning at 9:00am on the day of the retreat. We can only accept donations by cash or check at the door. (no credit cards)
