Description:

Genuine mindfulness isn’t about walking slowly or making chewing broccoli a project. And, it’s not just the currently popular notion of trying to pay attention. Buddhism has a long history and tradition of mindfulness practices. Central to the Pali tradition are the 10 objects of mindfulness. The use of these meditation objects, such as the Buddha, generosity and peace, not only help keep you aware of your actions but help give your actions meaning and context. We will also explore the Kasina meditation objects ( earth, fire, blue etc.) which also help put mindfulness practices into context.

Come to this retreat and explore mindfulness practices with Ven. Tenzin Priyadarshi. Modern notions of mindfulness are but a hollow echo of these originals.

A donation of $150/single or $250/couple is suggested
